![]() At the command line, enter SELECTIONCYCLING (System Variable). AutoCAD will not record your commands and you simply can’t use it. It is an improvement over the previous methods of selection, such as the Polygonal Lasso and Magnetic Lasso. See it in a couple of images for more detailed reference. You only can UNDO your last command, and AutoCAD doesn’t remember the other 4 commands. Then pick the Open button to run this script. One is Multiline text, and the other is Single line text. ![]() If this doesn't improve the situation then go to Tools>Options (or type in Options at the command line) and on the Display tab uncheck the ‘Show rollover ToolTips’ option. Now select any AutoCAD object that you want. You can now select objects within irregular areas using the Lasso tool by clicking, holding and dragging.
